For Further Research

There are some useful links where people can discover and look deeply into the issue of media violence.

First web source is a research article "The impact of electronic media violence: scientific theory and research " that is written by L.R. Huesmann, the website where you can find it: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2704015/.  Even though the article was issued in 2007, professor Huesmann mentions significant issues of the effects of media violence on society such as short-term effects, particularly priming process, arousal process, mimicry, and long-term effects, especially observational learning, desensitization, and enactive learning. Both effects are closely related to each other, and it is not enough to understand only short-term or long-term effects.

Another website is https://opinionfront.com/effects-of-media-violence-on-society, the article written by Charlie S. raises the issue of media violence as well. The author mentions several exciting and controversial aspects, for instance, statistics about the violence depicted in the Media, adverse effects of media violence on society, effects of violence on children and teenagers, effects of violence on adults, indifference towards violence, and incorrect interpretation.

The third source that is highly essential to read is https://j676group1.wordpress.com/effects-of-media-violence/. In the website which is called "Violence and censorship on social media" effects of media violence have been discussed. The author mentions not only short-term and long-term effects of media violence but also the involvement of social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and BuzzFeed. Also, a reporter suggests how social media sites should balance freedom of information and violent content.
